How we worked on the report
This was a massive research project conducted on a group of service providers and recipients in the context of deinstitutionalization. The report was prepared for the Regional Center for Social Policy in Toruń. A team of nearly 40 experts carried out the research from 13 academic centers, coordinated by Korczak University. Our contribution to this report was the graphic design. The final design encompassed 378 pages. We developed a suitable color scheme that weaved through the chapters, and one of the main challenges was creating the entire report, which could also function as separate chapters. To structure the report, we applied both color coding and numerical organization. The chapters were assigned specific numbering for tables and charts. Given the sensitive topics covered, the report had to meet all WCAG accessibility standards, ensuring it was accessible to people with disabilities. Therefore, the content had to follow a series of strict guidelines (both visual and accessibility-related) — inclusive design. In addition to the content, we also designed a large number of tables, infographics, and charts. Moreover, we printed and distributed the report to designated distribution points.
